WHAT CHANGED · SEPTEMBER 2026

Seven changes and deadlines to review this September, covering Marketplace integrations, holiday returns, catalog quality, and Sam’s Club data.

The month in brief

Start with the September integration deadline if you use an approved Solution Provider. Then review the holiday return window, the changes that affect your fulfillment and catalog workflows, and the Sam’s Club announcement before making next year’s data plans.

This issue selects developments from August 1 through September 6, 2026, together with an earlier retirement whose deadline is still ahead. Dates beside entries distinguish announcements from a continuing requirement checked for this issue. The review covered public Marketplace, Data Ventures, and Walmart Connect sources. It identified no new first-party Walmart supplier or Walmart Connect release to include in this issue. Coverage is selective; use your account’s current requirements for operational decisions.

Reconnect providers that still use delegated keys

Creation of new Delegated Access keys ended July 30. Existing keys for approved Solution Providers keep working only through the end of September 2026.

What to do. Ask each connected provider whether your account still uses a delegated key. If it does, reconnect through the Walmart App Store’s Connect action before the September cutoff, then confirm the integration is working. This entry’s date is the check date; it is not a new retirement announcement.

Buy Ship with Walmart labels inside ShipStation

ShipStation users can now purchase Ship with Walmart shipping labels within their existing fulfillment tool.

What to do. If you already ship through ShipStation, compare the eligible services and account-specific rates there before changing your label workflow. The announcement’s advertised savings are a maximum, not a guaranteed discount on every shipment.

Plan for holiday returns into January

Most eligible Marketplace purchases made October 1 through December 31, 2026 can be returned through January 31, 2027. Product exceptions remain.

What to do. Review the items covered by the extension before setting your Q4 returns forecast and January staffing. Keep exception categories separate; do not assume every holiday sale receives the longer window.

Handle WFS multichannel tracking before carrier pickup

WFS Multichannel Solutions now supplies a Walmart Fulfillment Tracking Number when an order is created, plus an early tracking URL. Carrier tracking becomes available later.

What to do. Have your integration read the early tracking fields and use carrier tracking once assigned. Confirm whether each destination channel accepts the early identifier before relying on it for that channel’s tracking deadline.

Update automotive setup without changing ACES requirements

Automotive item setup no longer uses AAIA Brand Id, Part Terminology Id, or Walmart Fitment Brand Code. Accurate Brand Name and manufacturer-published MPN still matter. The missing-attributes report is retired; the coverage report is temporarily unavailable.

What to do. Remove the retired setup fields from your item-maintenance process and adjust scheduled report pulls. Keep the existing ACES XML requirements when submitting compatibility data; the simpler item setup does not remove them.

  6. Announced · SAM’S CLUB SUPPLIER

Treat Sam’s Club Scintilla as a 2027 planning item

Walmart plans to make Scintilla available to Sam’s Club merchants and suppliers beginning in 2027. The announcement does not specify a launch month, packages, pricing, or migration arrangements.

What to do. Ask for those details before committing to a data-tool transition. Base current reporting work on the access your Sam’s Club account already has; the announcement itself grants no new access.

    Review catalog quality in bulk

New Listing Quality and Content Quality report types let sellers and Solution Providers retrieve scores, issues, and recommended fixes through the on-request Reports API. Listing Quality is a snapshot accurate as of the previous day.

What to do. Ask your catalog team or provider to add the reports to its review workflow and prioritize the issues returned. Preserve the snapshot date when comparing results; this is not a live view of an item you just edited.
